A quick and easy dump cake recipe that combines apple pie filling with snickerdoodle cake mix for a delicious fall dessert.

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) snickerdoodle cake mix
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the apple pie filling into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the dry snickerdoodle cake mix with the melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the cake mix mixture evenly over the apple pie filling.
  5. If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts and cinnamon over the top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
