Make this creamy, tangy, and flavorful burger sauce in minutes using common pantry staples. It is better than store-bought sauce and perfect for burgers, fries, or sandwiches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1 teaspoon Yellow Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sugar, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. Stir all ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and uniform in color.
  4. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed. Add a pinch more sugar for sweetness or vinegar for tang.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the burger sauce for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to blend. This step improves the taste.
  6. Serve this homemade special sauce on your hamburgers, use it as a fry dip, or spread it on sandwiches.

Notes

  • For a Smash Burger Sauce variation, add 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika for depth.
  • To make a lighter version, substitute half of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • This sauce keeps well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
