Make this easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer using just three core ingredients. These cheesy sausage balls are perfect for game day, parties, or a savory breakfast bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage, uncooked
  • 2 cups Bisquick Original Pancake & Baking Mix
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the uncooked sausage, Bisquick mix, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Use your hands to mix the ingredients thoroughly until they are fully combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Roll the mixture into small, uniform balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between them.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.

Notes

  • You can use spicy sausage instead of regular pork sausage for extra flavor.
  • These sausage balls freeze well. Place cooled, unbaked balls on a tray, freeze until solid, then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cook time.
  • Serve these as a simple game day appetizer or a savory brunch bite.
