  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 box (1.75 oz) powdered fruit pectin
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Prepare your water bath canner, jars, lids, and bands.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine strawberries, cranberries, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves.
  3. Stir in the powdered fruit pectin and water.
  4. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
  5. Boil hard for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  6. Remove from heat. Skim off any foam with a spoon.
  7. Ladle hot jam into hot, sterilized half-pint jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace.
  8. Wipe jar rims clean and place lids and bands on.

  10. Remove jars from canner and let cool on a wire rack.
  11. Check for seals after 12-24 hours.

Notes

  • For a smoother jam, you can pulse the berries in a food processor before cooking.
  • Adjust spices to your preference.
  • Ensure your jars are properly sterilized to prevent spoilage.
  • This jam will keep for up to a year when properly canned.
