Make soft, gooey cinnamon roll bites fast using refrigerated biscuit dough. These poppable treats are perfect for a quick breakfast or a sweet dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together for the cinnamon sugar coating.
  3. Open the can of biscuit dough. Separate the biscuits and cut each biscuit into four equal pieces.
  4. Roll each small piece of dough in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
  5. Arrange the coated dough pieces close together in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. Pour the melted butter evenly over the dough pieces in the pan.
  7. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. While the bites bake, prepare the glaze. Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Remove the pan from the oven and let the bites cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon roll bites before serving.

Notes

  • For extra gooey centers, you can bake these bites in a shallow dish with 1/4 cup of heavy cream poured over them before the melted butter.
  • If you want a French toast variation, skip the cinnamon sugar coating and dip the dough pieces in an egg/milk mixture before baking.
  • You can use an air fryer by cooking the coated bites in batches at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
