A quick and easy creamy lemon pasta recipe, perfect for busy weeknights. This one-pot dish delivers restaurant-quality flavor in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine spaghetti, water, and salt in a large skillet or pot. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Cook, stirring occasionally, until spaghetti is al dente and most of the water has evaporated, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest, and black pepper.
  4. Stir until the sauce is creamy and coats the pasta. If the sauce is too thick, add a tablespoon of water at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For added protein, stir in cooked chicken or shrimp during the last minute of cooking.
  • Substitute Greek yogurt for heavy cream for a lighter version.
  • Adjust lemon juice and zest to your preference.
