Make this rich, savory Creamy Parmesan Garlic Beef Bowtie Pasta. It is a quick, satisfying stovetop meal featuring ground beef and a luscious garlic Parmesan cream sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 teaspoons olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 8 ounces bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water. Set the pasta aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until it is fully browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add the minced garlic and diced onion to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the onion softens and the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for about 3 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce slightly.
  5. Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream. Let the sauce warm through but do not let it boil.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to your taste.
  7. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet with the sauce and beef. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated. If the sauce seems too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  8. Serve immediately. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley or extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Notes

  • Use high-quality, freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best melting and flavor in your Parmesan cream sauce.
  • For a spicier flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes when you sauté the garlic.
  • This recipe is a great base; feel free to add frozen peas or spinach during the last few minutes of simmering the cream sauce.
