Ingredients
Scale
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
In a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper.
Add tuna steaks to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated.
Marinate in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes. Do not marinate for too long, as the acid can ‘cook’ the fish.
Remove tuna from marinade and discard the used marinade.
Cook tuna steaks as desired.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
This marinade is also excellent for other types of fish like salmon or swordfish.
