Make rich, fudgy Oreo truffles using only three common ingredients. This simple, no-bake recipe is perfect for quick desserts or holiday treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 16 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted for dipping

Instructions

  1. Place all Oreo cookies, filling included, into a food processor. Pulse until you have fine crumbs.
  2. Transfer the crumbs to a medium bowl. Add the softened cream cheese.
  3. Mix the crumbs and cream cheese together using a hand mixer or sturdy spoon until fully combined and a dough forms.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Chill the balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  6. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate according to package directions. You can use a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
  7. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Use a fork to lift it out, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  8. Place the dipped balls back onto the parchment-lined sheet.
  9. Refrigerate the finished Oreo balls until the chocolate coating is set, about 15 minutes.

Notes

  • For a festive look, sprinkle crushed Oreos or holiday sprinkles over the chocolate coating before it sets.
  • If you prefer a cheesecake flavor, substitute 4 oz of the cream cheese with 4 oz of softened brick-style cream cheese.
  • You can substitute the semi-sweet chocolate with white chocolate or milk chocolate for coating variations.
