Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 ounces cold smoked salmon, finely chopped
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl. Use a hand mixer or a sturdy spoon to beat the cream cheese until it is smooth and creamy.
Add the sour cream, fresh lemon juice, chopped dill, lemon zest, black pepper, and salt to the bowl. Mix until all ingredients are fully combined and the mixture is uniform.
Gently fold in the finely chopped smoked salmon. Mix just enough to distribute the salmon evenly; avoid overmixing to keep some texture.
Taste the smoked salmon dip and adjust seasoning if needed.
Cover the bowl and chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld.
Serve your easy smoked salmon dip cold with crackers, bagel chips, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
For a smoked salmon spread consistency, reduce the sour cream by one tablespoon.
You can prepare this cold smoked salmon dip up to one day ahead. Keep it covered in the refrigerator.
If you prefer a stronger flavor, add 1 teaspoon of drained capers to the mixture.
